Donor Appreciation Luncheon
12-8-2011

Our Donor Appreciation Luncheon was held at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church at noon. We like to take this time every year to thank those who support and give donations to the FCA. We had one of our largest crowds yet that once again enjoyed a delicious seafood buffet. We had two students, Maurice Fason from Valdosta High School and Jocelyn Parks from Brooks High School, give testistimonies of God's grace in their lives. We were also proud to have Coach Richie March from Thomasville High School as our guest speaker. His testimony of how God saved him and used the FCA in his life was inspirational.

Cook Donor Appreciation

This year, we hosted a Donor Appreciation Luncheon in Cook County on December 6 at noon. The luncheon was well-attended with many of our donors who also attended our Cook County Banquet this past spring. We like to take this time to let our donors and supporters know how much we appreciate them. We had two student speakers from Cook High School who gave their testimonies. We also had Mark Loudermilk from Valdosta High School as our guest speaker, and he did a great job. The event was a great success and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Tailgating at the Tabernacle

This year, Coach Scott Ray from Cook County shared his testimony of God’s goodness in his life. It was very moving. Maurice Fason from Valdosta High School also shared how God had brought him through some hard places but had been faithful to him. . . .

Christ Makes Winners Rally
10-5-2011

This year’s Christ Makes Winners Rally took place Wednesday Oct. 5, and it was completely “off the chain!” We began with hamburgers and hot dogs at 6 p.m. and fed the entire crowd. The rally followed at 6:30 p.m. . . .with live music from several local worship leaders. We also heard several wonderful testimonies from four local students who shared what Christ has done for them and about their involvement in their local FCA huddles on campus. There were several prizes given away, including two IPods, t-shirts, Bibles, and a football signed by both Head Coaches. During the evening, Coach Randy McPherson and Coach Rance Gillespie took the stage to share their faith and information about the game coming up on Friday. Both shared of their trust in Christ and also spoke about the excitement building for the weekend. Our feature speaker for the night was Christian Chapman, a former college and professional athlete. He shared his testimony of salvation and of living the Christian life with passion and boldness. He also spoke about breaking down walls in our lives. He passionately spoke to the audience that the only way to break down these walls was with “living water,” which is Christ Jesus, himself. It was a very powerful and moving message, and many young people responded to the invitation to give themselves to Christ and receive this “living water." It was a great night. Many were saved and many more recommitted their lives to live for Him. Thank you, to all who worked hard to make the rally a success, and a very special thank you goes to Bill New, who produced the event.
