Pinevale Learning Center
On Wednesday, January 18, Future Now rocked out the stage at Pinevale with music, dramas, and videos! They held an assembly at 12:30 p.m. in the gym where the whole school attended. Hal McGregor, Area Director of the Southeast Georgia FCA, attended and spoke to the students briefly about joining the school's FCA huddle. FCA plays a large role in getting Future Now into the schools. FCA and Future Now join together to focus on positive encouragement, telling the students to go after their dreams and to not get side-tracked by all that the world throws at them. Chris Muscgrove, Director of Future Now, showed testimonial videos of people who had pursued their dreams and chosen to be better than the negative influences in their lives. He then invited the students to come back for a second session that evening with their families. Patrice Smith, Pinevale's Huddle Coach, took the stage with a student to encourage the student's to become a part of the FCA. She also showed the students the FCA shirt that one of the Pinevale students designed.
At 6 p.m. the rally began with music, skits, and all forms of entertainment. This session focussed on Christ being the center of their lives. Chris again spoke to them about their dreams, saying that if they trusted Christ, He would show them all the plans He has for them. Chris told them that if Jesus was the focus of their lives, they could pursue those dreams with God's help. Future Now again showed videos of those who had taken the wrong path and those that had accepted Christ as savior and had their lives forever changed. At the end of the message, Chris gave an alter call to anyone wanting to receive salvation. Over 50 people gave their hearts to God! What a miracle! Hal McGregor again attended the service and helped students who prayed for salvation fill out contact information. The students were encouraged to come early to school the next day and attend the FCA huddle meeting. At the end of the evening, Future Now gave away prizes such as two big screen tvs, free tickets to Wild Adventures, and several Future Now t-shirts. The whole event made for a thrilling and rewarding evening!
